Thrifty Thursday - Day 15

Pretty quite here on the homefront.  Got up early as hubby had a flat tyre so had to help him find the bike pump I found it in 5 seconds of looking ... I will say no more LOL.

Postie came past early and yet again didn't bother to 'knock' to deliver a registered mail letter to me just put the card in the letterbox and drove off.  Oh well I was expecting the card today so at least now I have yesterday's to pick up as well as today's.  Posted another ebay parcel too so that's ok.  Just as I get rid of those at about 9pm tonight the final two payments come through for the last payments... sigh... this is the problem with ebay selling at times...

GIFT CARDS

I have been buying some gift cards on ebay as you know and today arrived the Dan Murphy's gift card valued at $200 bought for $175 with FREE registered post.

Westfield Gift Card - valued at $200 bought for $180 with FREE registered post. That 'should' last me a little while unless I decide to get DD12's 3DS from Kmart or Target (as they have GREAT specials out right now) and then I will use the card for that.

EMAILS

Coles - offering me a flybuys triple points weekend 11th - 13th Jan - of course I click to 'accept' I may or may not do any shopping on the weekend but I'll take any bonuses that I can.

Also an email from the SMSPUP that I use for the FREE SMS to my Zumba clients.  It was offering 29 pts for a quick survey so I did that yeah that will last me for another week - trying to stay at least a week ahead with FREE texts.

Took DS9 to get a hair cut.  It only costs $12 and I take him to the local Barber we have been going there for quite a few years now and he's finally at the age where he will happily get up into the chair by himself and sit still.  I don't care how much the haircut is, we go for familarity and as part of a routine.  I was thinking today I wonder how many more years we will take him there for a haircut.  The guy that runs it is probably about 40 so I recon he's got some good years ahead of him.  Reminded me of the Big Bang Theory where Sheldon would only let one man cut his hair I bet that will be my son one day LOL.  We of course read the little Golden Book in there 'The Monster at the the End of the Book'.  Its his favourite.  There are some pages missing so it's a short read LOL.  I got my son the book for home as he loves it so much so I'm thinking if I go back to any op shops I am going to look for this to donate it to the barber.

SURPRISE - WOO HOO what an awesome surprise in the mail today.  I won as I was telling you a week ago a voucher for a free icecream birthday cake from Baskin Robins and today it arrived but with a whole party pack.  Enough balloons to fill a room.  It was so lovely to receive it.  Took a picture of it to show you all, it is impressive!

The only mad panic part of the day 5.15pm hubby buzzed to say his flat tyre has gone again (no clip on the bike to hold the bike pump) so I had to drive to pick him up.  It's not too bad but it's just peak hour traffic.  I barely made it to Zumba but I did make it.  I felt soo bad for being late.  I had 2 new ladies come and they said they had a great time so that's great, I must have looked so unproffesional rocking up not dressing and looking rushed so I let them have their first night for FREE.  What a lovely lady I am!

Hope your day was awesome xoxo
