Friday Fun - Day 16

Quite warm here in Adelaide today so what do I do for dinner - I cook a roast of course you do ... LOL

We bought a special RAA memebers movie night ticket to the drive in for $11 in December and so tonight we went.  The movie didn't start till 9pm so we took our time to get there.  So I thought let's save some money and eat dinner at home instead of eating out.  Next time we will probably still do dinner at home but also try and go as early as we can because the car park got full pretty quickly!!!  At the drivein's we did get a little goody bag with a voucher to get a free drink and popcorn so that was lovely!

We did pack our own drinks and snacks in the car.  Stopped off at HJ's to get DS9 dinner as he was being a fuss pot and not eating anything at home and DD12 bought her own icecream there so she was clever!

Visit to the chiro today so that was a cost of $33 I don't mind at all as I now need to keep my body tip top for Zumba.  I go every month now.  Even though my chiro doesn't 'like this Zumba business' LOL she respects it.  There is a HICAPS system (don't ask me what the stands for ...) but basically you swipe your health fund card and so then the health fund (if you have any) is paid straight to them so then you just pay the gap and don't have to worry about a claim later over the phone, or the net or sigh ... dare I say it ... snail mail....  I was thinking today that I save about $20 doing this so if I was a desperate CC points chaser then I am loosing 20 pts but the refunds / claims take so long to come in so I'd have to 'pay' the CC bill before the refund and always be a month 'behind' and that's not worth it!

Had a look into the cheap op shop next door, it's an independantly owned one and I know the managers not that they were working today.  They always just seem to have those little knick knacks which you need.  I looked in their book area for a while and found a book about King Henry VIII / King Edward so I grabbed it and was happy to know it only cost me $1.  DD12 will no doubt read it too - however on further inspection we find it's book 2 of a set ... aggrrrrhhhh LOL ... now to hunt down book 1 - FRUGALLY!... Hmmm I'm on the case!!!  I looked on ebay and of course the first book I want is there but it's $15!  Then I look up the author on the net and she has 4 other books ... slap ... this stopped being funny 3 books ago...

Didn't need to get petrol today which was a pleasant surprise for all the driving that we did to the drive in and back again but I bet I will hear beep beep tomorrow or Sunday.  Hoping that prices will have dropped a bit more by then too!
